Selena Gomez is to replace actress Nicole Kidman in the movie “Monte Carlo.” The 17-year-old star will star in the comedy that originally was thought for the Aussie star, after producers decided to give the script a youthful direction, Variety reports. The film, based on Headhunters novel by Jules Bass, tells the story of a group of high school girls travelling from Paris, France. Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is also said to be in negotiation to join the cast. Shooting is set to start in May.
